PARTY TIME!

Ethan had his first ever school friend's party last weekend.
He was so excited - he celebrated at the LEGO Education Centre and being the Lego and Star Wars fan that he is, this was the invitation I created for the BIG DAY!

Ethan helped me set up the shot and nervously I lit the candles and ran back to take this photo.
Had some fun with the blurb on the back of the card too.

Just moments before all his friends arrived.

These were in place of lolly bags - little chocolate LEGO men.

And the cupcakes all ribboned up.

And then ready to eat - white chocolate with hundreds and thousands LEGO pieces.

And the token birthday photo taken on the way back to the car.

He had a great time ... and I'm glad - he's a good kid!

I bet the other mothers will be too scared to invite your son to their parties because they will never top that one!
Love the party only going for an hour. Did they have time to eat or did they just play lego for the whole time?

Wow - we LOVE lego here - especially Marc! How did you do the leg chocolates - a mould? or did the lego shop sell them? Check out this link for awesome and funny lego photography if you haven't already. http://legomyphoto.wordpress.com/

Hi Leanne

Your photos and party ideas are very inspiring. It's great that you are willing to share all your ideas with others. You did an amazing job on the gift bags for the lego party and the individual cakes in those containers looked fantastic. Where did you get those containers from? I love your photography and look forward to seeing your next posts. The B&W photo of Ethan you mentioned you used Gradient Map in Photoshop. I have tried this. When all those little boxes come up I just picked the B&W box - did you need to go futher and do some fine tuning with it or was that it?
I have finally worked out how to leave a comment. My friend Celia said she ran into you at Zone Fresh the other day after we were looking at your website. Regards Kathy Aylward (another Canon 40D user - we met in March at Rachel's workshop).

Hey Leanne,

We are having a lego themed birthday party here too. Ethan's one has been in the back of my mind for a long time. So wish we lived near a Moore Educational Centre, (just visited Melb and loved it).
Do you remember where you got the cupcake cases from? I can find loads of square ones but none like you used.
Thanks for your help
